Poinsettia

Gallup & Stribling Orchids grows over 25 varieties of poinsettia in colors, patterns, and unique leaf forms that create the brilliance of winter and a holiday sense of wonder.

The beauty of the poinsettia is the vibrant leaflike bracts surrounding central clusters of small yellow flowers known as cyathia. Poinsettias are winter flowering, photoperiodic plants that respond to seasonal changes in day length—specifically, the length of uninterrupted periods of darkness each night. The seasonal flowering response resulting in bract coloration is initiated by darkness of at least 12-14 hours per night for 8-10 weeks and bright light during the day.

Experience the holiday and horticultural magic with Gallup & Stribling poinsettias.
